Word Play

The four letter word I grabbed was "gain." I ended up going in the direction of music because someone mentioned the word crescendo.

I want to have my word in the shape of a sideways V. (like a crescendo) With the g smaller and each following letter growing in height. I plan to apply a sound wave to the whole word as well. 

I found a font that was almost what I wanted. I printed it out and used tracing paper to modify to more fit my needs. I needed the font to grow larger in size, but I also needed them to stay connected. I wanted to use an elegant cursive font because I think of high class events when I hear the word crescendo. Crescendo is the word that I wanted to ring through this word "gain." It takes on the horizontal V shape of the symbol for crescendo, and has a sound wave going through the entire word.

I used black for elegance, and a green to represent money because gain makes me think of gaining social status or profit.
I went in an fixed some of the lines to make them flow more with the direct selection tool.

After the critique, I fixed my "n" and the coloration.
